Today I had my first basketball practice, which was OK. I had a friend on my team, and fortunately he was a good point guard. I now become a point guard too because I have one of the best handles on the team. It was sad, how I had to be a guard instead of a forward. It was not bad, but I was not that good at being a guard. I was not able to lead the team that well, and I also did most of work by myself. Only myself and another person on my team could offense, the other 3 were just on defence. I hope that I can bring my team up.
Today during math class, Mr. Frisse used some fun facts to explain the run and rise of a slope. He said that pretend that the slope was a bike ride thing. The higher the rise, but the shorter the run, that harder it would be to fly, and instead maybe face plant into the ground. He said, the perfect slope for a bike ride, would be good enough to make it fly for a distance. He said that if he put a couple of little brothers lying down right in front of the slope where the bike would start flying, it would be more challenging. So it had to have a great run, but also some rise to get the bike flying, or else the little brothers would get squashed.
